It all started when...

The Blithe was started in 2018 simply to create a space to share my love of everything from a mouthwatering Italian cheese plate to a comical everyday mishap. Knowing next to nothing about blogging, let alone how to start the platform intrigued me. I am not the most technically proficient person on the planet, so creating a website and setting everything up proved to be challenging. Challenge accepted. 

The Blithe? What does this even mean? After hours of writing down random words and harassing my mother and best friend trying to come up with a name, I stumbled upon the word "blithe", meaning carefree and joyous. With my laid back and happy-go-lucky approach to life, this seemed fitting. I believe life is meant to be lived, enjoyed and celebrated. I don't take myself too seriously and I truly love tongue in cheek and self-deprecating humor. 

I hope you all enjoy the adventures I will take you on, the food and wine we will share and my attempt at making you laugh. Writing is my one true love and a very fulfilling creative outlet for me.
